Gold Bolus is very lucky to be releasing an album by Joseph White for the third time. Following Joe’s Cockfights and Boomwaggle, The Wagging Craze lays out an alternate timeline of LBJ & Nixon’s presidencies, in explorations of masculinity by Midwestern frat boys in 1964 leads to LBJ’s legislative success and eventual downfall, and later brings out the worst in Nixon and Kissinger. Soothing salves, blinking robots, and complex systems of pulleys and levers are all vehicles for hardened men to question if they might be better off soft, if they could loosen up and stop worrying about the size of their belt buckle.
