Lung is the debut album of violinist Adrianne Munden-Dixon. The album collects six pieces written for Munden-Dixon and featuring electronic components by composers David Bird, Carrie Frey, Maria Kaoutzani, Phong Tran, Cassie Wieland, and Munden-Dixon herself.

These six pieces for solo violin allow the instrument and player to inhabit a wide range of characters and worlds. From the meditative title track by Cassie Wieland, to Maria Kaoutzani’s frenzied tarantella, to Carrie Frey’s choose-your-own-adventure through outer space, each piece opens a door and drops the listener into a new dimension. These works were commissioned in early 2020, and subsequently developed and recorded over the next two years. They are portraits of collaboration and exploration between each composer and Munden-Dixon.
